Purpose
To explore and learn new communication models, skills, and methods through group activities. The goal is to discover a comfortable communication style for both parents and children, helping to enhance or improve the parent-child relationship.
Format
Participants will gain experience and learning through games, role-playing, exercises, videos, short talks, sharing, and discussions.
Content
- Understanding factors leading to communication breakdowns and barriers between parents and children.
- Learning active listening and "I-message" techniques.
- Recognizing the impact of irrational thoughts.
- Mastering and applying the four-step process of compassionate communication.
- Understanding the subculture of modern youth.
Key Information
- Target Participants: Parents with children aged 10–14.
- Dates: March 15, 22, 29 & April 12, 19, 26 (Every Wednesday).
- Time: 19:30–21:00 (1.5 hours).
- Quota: 6–8 people.
- Fee: MOP 20 per parent (Free for center members).
- Location: 4th Floor, Phase 2, Mei Ju Plaza, 281 Avenida de Hac Sa, Macau (Ching Chou Social Service Complex Centre).
