About the Competition

To promote a deeper understanding of the Chinese traditional virtue of 'Filial Piety' among youth in the Greater Bay Area, and to foster exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau while strengthening the next generation's cultural confidence, this competition has been launched.

Competition Details

• Target Participants: Secondary 1 to Secondary 3 students (Grades 7-9).
• Theme: Contestants choose their own title, but the essay must be centered on the core concept of 'Filial Piety'.
• Word Count: 600 to 1000 words.

Key Dates

• Submission Period: March 6, 2023 – April 18, 2023.
• Results Announcement: May 2, 2023.

Prizes (Awarded per region in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau)

• Champion: HKD 1,000 cash + medal.
• First Runner-up: HKD 800 cash + medal.
• Second Runner-up: HKD 500 cash + medal.
• Third Runner-up: HKD 300 cash + medal.
• Merit Award (10 winners): HKD 200 cash + certificate.
