Basic Law Promotion Micro-film Creation Competition

To promote the importance of the Basic Law and unleash creative ideas, the association is organizing the "Basic Law Promotion Micro-film Creation Competition." Through micro-film production, the event aims to deepen public understanding of the Basic Law and highlight its relevance to daily life.

Key Details

• Submission Period: July 21 – September 30, 2015
• Eligibility: Macau residents and students studying at local institutions
• Entry Format: Individuals or teams can participate, with no limit on the number of submissions per participant (though the top three prizes cannot be awarded to different works by the same author).
• Technical Requirements:
  • Resolution: 720p or higher
  • Format: MPG or MP4 files
  • Medium: Recorded on DVD
  • Language: Cantonese with mandatory Chinese subtitles
  • Duration: 3–4 minutes
  • Style: Filmed or animated productions accepted
• Submission: Entries must include the completed application form and script, submitted to the Secretariat of the Basic Law Promotion Association at the ground floor front unit, Veng Tak Building, No. 4-6 Rua de Inácio Baptista.

• Champion (1): MOP 7,000 + trophy
• First Runner-up (1): MOP 5,000 + trophy
• Second Runner-up (1): MOP 3,000 + trophy
• Best Director (1): MOP 2,000 + trophy
• Best Screenplay (1): MOP 2,000 + trophy
• Best Actor/Actress (1): MOP 2,000 + trophy
• Online Popularity Award (1): MOP 2,000 + trophy
• Merit Awards (5): MOP 1,000 + trophy each

Timeline

• Shortlist Announcement: October 26, 2015 (on the association's website)
• Online Voting Period: October 27 – November 6, 2015 (public can vote via phone for the champion film)
• Lucky Draw: 20 voters who correctly guess the champion will be entered into a draw to win MOP 300 each
• Final Results Announcement: November 16, 2015
