Event Overview

The Bank of Communications Cup Youth Painting Competition is a key event held alongside the China (Macau) International Auto Expo. This competition aims to cultivate children's interest in automobiles, enhance their knowledge, and encourage them to use their imagination to design their own automotive dreams.

Competition Details

Theme: All artwork must be themed around "Automobiles." Children are free to depict their own automotive world, whether realistic or conceptual.
Eligibility & Age Groups: Open to children aged 6–18.
- Group A (Lower Grade): Ages 6–12
- Group B (Upper Grade): Ages 13–17
Artwork Specifications:
- Accepted Mediums: Chinese painting, oil painting, sketching, gouache, watercolor, children's painting, printmaking, comics, stick figures, cartoon drawings, collage, paper-cutting, etc. Style and materials are unrestricted.
- Size: Xuan paper works should be within 46cm x 70cm. Non-Xuan paper works should be within 8K (37cm x 26cm) or 4K (39cm x 54cm).
- Color: Black & white or color, any pigment is allowed.
- Quantity: No limit on the number of entries per participant.

Submission Period: October 1–24, 2013 (based on postmark date)
Judging Period: October 25–29, 2013
Awards Announcement: Between October 31 and November 3, 2013
Exhibition of Winning Works: November 1–3, 2013, at the China (Macau) International Auto Expo
"100-Meter Scroll" Live Painting & Awards Ceremony: November 2, 2013, 15:40–16:10 at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Expo Hall C Stage

Prizes (Per Age Group)

Champion (1 winner): Trophy + prizes worth MOP 1,000
1st Runner-up (2 winners): Trophy + prizes worth MOP 500 each
2nd Runner-up (3 winners): Trophy + prizes worth MOP 300 each
Merit Award (10 winners): A fine gift each

How to Submit

Participants must mail their original artwork to the Macao Daily News mailbox by October 24, 2013, clearly marked "For the China Macau International Auto Expo Children's Painting Competition."
