Rui Cunha Foundation presents Azulejos in Macao, Vol.I, a unique exhibition blending photography and ceramic tile painting. The exhibition features the work of photographer Carol Kwok, who captured Portuguese tile murals (azulejos) across Macau, and artist Fernando Simões, who displays his traditional Portuguese tile paintings.
Organized by the Chinese Cultural Industries Promotion Association, this exhibition aims to promote Macao as a platform for cultural exchange between China and Portugal. It combines history, culture, and art, integrating traditional craftsmanship with modern ideas to deepen public understanding of local cultural heritage. Some of Carol Kwok's detailed photographs have been made into postcards.
