The Asia A Cappella Festival 2016 is Macau's first-ever event of its kind. Organized by the Macau Youth Music Promotion Association, the festival aims to establish an annual brand that promotes this highly entertaining and artistic performance form. The goal is to raise public awareness, attract talented singers and young people to join the scene, and foster the sustainable development of a cappella music in Macau.
A cappella is currently the most popular vocal art form! Popularized by the US national TV show The Sing-off and the movie Pitch Perfect, mainstream singers worldwide are now recording a cappella songs. This trend is coming to Macau! The festival features two 'A Cappella' concerts with diverse musical styles, performers from four continents, and a grand finale by Macau's rising a cappella stars, Water Singers. It's a perfect early winter music feast!
