This autumn, artist Summer will lead children on a journey to experience the joy of reading picture books.
Through shared reading of picture books, children are encouraged to express themselves, listen to and empathize with others, and then transform their inner feelings and life elements into creative works. By exploring various art materials, the workshop aims to develop children's senses and imagination.
Yang Guanying (Summer) was born and raised in Macau. Her creative practice includes photography, video, illustration, and installation art. She has participated in multiple exhibitions for the Ox Warehouse Children's Art Paradise series, with her installation works displayed in the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library Children's Reading Area. Her video works have been selected and screened at the "KLEX Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film, Video & Music Festival 2018," "EXiM 2016 – Portugal and Macau Experimental Image Event," "Macau International Film and Video Festival 2016," and the "2016 CAAF Slovenian Book Fair – Asia Unit Screening." From 2015 to 2017, she served as a guest instructor for the Ox Warehouse Children's Art Paradise workshops.
