Synopsis
A group of farm animals, long oppressed by their human master, are inspired by an old, wise pig to revolt against their exploiters. Led by the pigs, they successfully drive out the farmer and rename the farm "Animal Farm," establishing the principle that "All animals are equal."
However, a power struggle soon erupts between the leading pigs. The victorious faction expels the other, and the new leadership gradually amasses power, becoming a new privileged class. Any dissent among the animals is met with brutal purges. The farm's ideal is revised to "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." The other animals find themselves returning to their former miserable state, once again exploited.
