Life has a beginning and an end. We will all one day reach the final stop on our life's journey. Along the way, we meet, get to know, and love many people. However, we will all eventually have to say goodbye to them. A simple turn might mean we never see them again. Life is impermanent. Yet, one of life's most important lessons is learning how to face loss. Therefore, we should teach children the meaning of cherishing and being grateful, and then learn how to say goodbye. Let children understand that life is full of meetings and partings, so we must treasure every moment spent together.
Always in My Heart is the first children's picture book created by the Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong, specifically for life and death education. The story follows Bunny, a not-so-confident protagonist. After meeting and befriending Bear, Bear suddenly disappears from Bunny's life. How does Bunny cope with the feeling of loss?
Interested parents are welcome to bring their children to participate in this workshop. Through the picture book story and interactive games, explore the themes of life's impermanence, emotional resilience, and the value of life. Don't miss out!
