White Snake – Love

White Snake – Love is a new Cantonese opera work created by the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Theatre. Based on the traditional repertoire The Legend of the White Snake, it innovates and develops the story, reinterpreting the poignant love story of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian. Through ingenious artistic techniques, it perfectly blends Cantonese opera with symphonic music and dance, offering a youthful and refreshing artistic experience. The performance is particularly significant as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of Cantonese opera's inscription on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2019.

About Aerial Theatre

Aerial Theatre is a long-running brand program. Through its Hong Kong and Macau tour series, it introduces outstanding theatrical productions to local audiences. The recorded program is later broadcast nationwide via CCTV's opera channel, promoting cultural exchange in traditional opera arts between Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
