The "Museum Student Researcher" program is a specially curated activity for students, focusing on inspiring their interest in exploring history and encouraging them to proactively discover the history hidden within the community. To help the new generation understand and appreciate the place where they grew up, this year's program will continue to deepen its impact, targeting children as the primary trainees. It aims to lead children to "jump" out of the classroom, learn history in a lively way, and fully engage with and uncover the history and stories hidden within this small city, making history feel less unfamiliar and distant to them.
The program primarily teaches children to think, discover, feel, and experience. Starting from understanding the people, things, and objects around them, it encourages exploration and discovery of the surrounding world, moving from the small to the large and from the near to the far. The learning content focuses on Macau's streets and UNESCO World Heritage buildings, using simple and engaging, educational, and entertaining methods to impart local historical knowledge to children.
Activity instructors will lead children through streets and alleys, guiding them to carefully observe the things on the streets, learn to appreciate the bricks and tiles of their environment, and then search for the historical stories behind them.
