Overview
This competition aims to encourage Macao youth to further improve their English proficiency, providing more opportunities and fostering English learning. It offers a platform for participants to showcase their talents, stimulate personal potential, learn interpersonal skills, and expand their social circles.

Target Participants
- Individuals aged 16 to 45 holding a valid Macao Resident Identity Card.
Competition Format
- Participants can enter as individuals or teams.
- Maximum team size is 4 members.
Schedule & Venues
- Preliminary Round: July 16, 2017 (Sunday) at 14:00, Taipa New Tribe 2 (Novo Tribe 2).
- Final Round: October 21, 2017 (Saturday) at 15:00, Small Theatre of Macao Cultural Centre.
- Finalist Training: Top 10 finalists must attend training sessions between August and September 2017.
Registration Details
- Registration Fee: MOP 50 per entry (individual or team).
- Registration Location: Macao New Chinese Youth Association office.
- Registration Methods:
- Scan the QR code to register online.
- Register in person at the association office (Shop I, G/F, Yau Luen Building, No. 7 Rua de João de Almeida).
- Required Submission: After registration, email a 1.5-inch ID photo and your competition song's backing track (MP3 format) to [email protected].
- Email Subject: Name + Song Title (e.g., Chan Tai Man + My Heart Will Go On).
- Registration Deadline: From now until June 28, 2017.
- Confirmation: Registration is only confirmed upon payment. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Judging Criteria
Judges will evaluate participants based on:
- Singing technique
- Performance style
- Stage presence
- Emotional expression
- English pronunciation
Prizes
- Champion (1): MOP 4,000 cash + trophy
- First Runner-up (1): MOP 3,000 cash + trophy
- Second Runner-up (1): MOP 2,000 cash + trophy
- Best English Pronunciation Award (1): MOP 1,000 cash + trophy
- Best Popularity Award (1): MOP 1,000 cash + trophy
- Best Stage Presence Award (1): MOP 1,000 cash + trophy
- Champion Nominator Award (1): MOP 1,000 cash
- First Runner-up Nominator Award (1): MOP 800 cash
- Second Runner-up Nominator Award (1): MOP 500 cash

Important Notes
- Participants must present valid identification (ID card/student card) for verification during the competition.
- Previous champions may only participate as part of a team.
- Songs must be in English. A cappella is not allowed. Backing tracks must be in MP3 format (concert versions are not accepted). Songs cannot be changed after submission.
- Songs with inappropriate content are prohibited. The organizer reserves the right to make final decisions on song selection.
- The competition will be photographed and recorded. Materials may be used for promotional purposes on the organizer's website and related platforms.
- Finalists are required to attend all training and related activities. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants who are absent without valid reason.
- The order for the preliminary round will be determined by draw. Participants who fail to register at the designated time will be considered as having forfeited.
- The first round of the final will involve random pairing for duets. If one party cannot participate, the other must perform the entire song solo and will receive all points.
- The judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
- Each nominator has only one nomination right. The nominator and nominee cannot be the same person.
