Overview
Children and youth from over 60 countries and regions are participating in the global Design for Change (DFC) challenge to change the world! Through observing and identifying problems (Feel), using creativity to imagine solutions (Imagine), implementing ideas over one week (Do), and finally sharing results to create greater impact (Share). Use photos or videos with text descriptions to document the entire process and participate. Outstanding local participants will have the opportunity to exchange with international peers.
Key Details
- Target Participants: Macao residents aged 6 to 17 (including permanent and non-permanent).
- Format: Participate as an individual or in a group of up to 5 people, guided by 1 to 2 adults responsible for coordination.
The DFC Challenge Process
- Feel: Observe people and things from different perspectives to explore underlying problems or desired goals.
- Imagine: Utilize creative freedom to devise innovative methods to solve or improve the issue.
- Do: Gather all necessary resources and spend one week putting the action into practice.
- Share: Share your actions and joy with others to inspire more people to participate in change.
Submission Requirements
- The work must be in Chinese or English.
- The submission must include a project title, group name, and a clear explanation of how the four challenge steps were carried out.
- Document the entire process of the four steps through photos, videos, audio recordings, or written records.
- The final work must be presented as a video (3–5 minutes, mp4 format), slideshow (ppt or pptx), or report (doc, docx, or pdf).
Potential Rewards
- Represent Macao in international exchange programs.
- Participate in the "Children's Action Festival" to interact with participants from other regions.
