Event Overview

To promote the positive concept of lasting marriage and foster happy, harmonious family life, the Macau Catholic Family Association is hosting the '6th Marriage Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass' on December 4, 2016. This event features couples celebrating many years of marriage, serving as witnesses to the institution of marriage and encouraging society to value lifelong commitment.

Event Details

• Date: December 4, 2016
• Time: 2:30 PM
• Location: St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church, Fai Chi Kei (opposite the Adult Education Centre)
• Celebrant: Bishop Stephen Lee Bun-sang of the Catholic Diocese of Macau
• Participants: 30 couples, with the longest marriage being 50 years. 15 couples have been married for 30 years or more.
• Activities: Couples will renew their marriage vows in wedding attire. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.

Post-Ceremony Parade

Following the Thanksgiving Mass, the participating couples will embark on a celebratory open-top bus tour through Macau to receive blessings from the community.

Evening Celebration

The association will host a Marriage Anniversary Dinner and Member Christmas Party at Fisherman's Wharf in the evening. This event also serves as the closing ceremony for the association's 35th-anniversary series of activities, highlighting its 35-year commitment to serving the marriage and family life of Macau residents.
