The Daiwa Award is one of Taiwan's representative short film competitions, attracting over 300 submissions annually with a total prize pool exceeding NTD 1 million (approximately USD 30,000).
We are dedicated to promoting micro-film creation centered on themes of kindness, inspiration, family affection, and social care.
This year, we are launching the "Asian International Category" for the first time, aiming to showcase the stories of more Asian creators and foster cross-border visual exchange. This category will award four prizes with a total prize pool of USD 10,000.
Open to individuals of Asian nationality (excluding Taiwan). The director must be a non-Taiwanese Asian. Asian students currently studying in Taiwan are also eligible to participate.
