The Macau Special Administrative Region Government is preparing for this internationally renowned sporting event. The key task for the Grand Prix Committee this year is to inject new elements into the Macau Grand Prix. In terms of event positioning, the Macau Grand Prix has added new high-level competitions. The 62nd Macau Grand Prix, sponsored by Sun City Group, will be held from November 19 to 22. This year's event will see 228 drivers from 31 countries and regions competing in Macau, including 49 local Macau drivers.
First held in 1983, this year marks the 33rd edition of the Macau Grand Prix Formula 3 race. This event has been honored by the FIA as the world's only Formula 3 Intercontinental Cup.
The Macau Grand Prix Formula 3 race has long been revered for its dedication to helping the world's most talented young drivers reach the pinnacle of their racing careers. Of the 20 current Formula 1 drivers, 13 have competed for glory in Macau. Over the past three decades, eight Formula 1 World Champions have tested their skills on the famous Guia Circuit, including legends like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard, as well as current superstars Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas, and Daniel Ricciardo.
This year's Formula 3 race features 28 drivers, outstanding talents from 17 countries and regions. These drivers are selected from the FIA European Formula 3 Championship and the Japanese Formula 3 Championship.
These top drivers are set to deliver an exhilarating spectacle for the Macau Grand Prix.
