A special sharing session about Macau's participation in the 55th Venice International Art Biennale, one of the world's most important contemporary art events. Local artist Carlos Marreiros and other Macau artists who participated in the exchange program will share their experiences, insights, and reflections on the international art scene.
The Venice International Art Biennale, founded in 1895, is one of the most significant contemporary art events today, attracting over a million visitors from around the world each edition.
This year marked the fourth time the Macao Museum of Art (under the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau) participated in this international art extravaganza under the name "Macao, China." Local artist Carlos Marreiros was invited by the museum to exhibit his installation work, "Hundred Ways. Wise Man – The Encyclopedic Palace, Carlos Marreiros Experimental Exhibition," at the Macao Pavilion opposite the main Arsenale venue. His work, responding to the Biennale's theme "The Encyclopedic Palace," explores reflections on information manipulation through installation art.
