Festival Highlights
- Jury President: Hong Kong director Peter Chan (陳可辛).
- Talent Ambassadors: Hong Kong film star Carina Lau (劉嘉玲) and South Korean K-pop idol SUHO (Kim Junmyeon / 金俊勉) of EXO.
- IFFAM Ambassadors: Director Wang Xiaoshuai (王小帥) from China, director Kim Yong-Hwa (金容華) from South Korea, and director/producer Karan Johar from India.
- New Initiatives: The festival introduced a Short Film Competition Unit (Shorts) and added five major awards to the 'New Chinese Cinema' category: Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
About the Ambassadors
SUHO, leader of the globally renowned group EXO, joined as a Talent Ambassador. His acting career includes lead roles in films One Way Trip (2016) and Middle School Girl A (2018), and he was named 'Discovery of The Year' at the 2019 Jecheon International Music & Film Festival.
The festival aims to celebrate Asian cinema, honor classic works, and showcase Macao's diverse cultural and creative development to the world.
