Challenge Rules
- Theme Announcement: The organizing committee will announce the specific shooting theme on the Cultural Centre website and via SMS to participants at the start of the competition (April 19, 10:00).
- Time Limit: You have only 48 hours to complete the filming and editing of a 3-minute video.
- Submission Deadline: Final works must be submitted to the Cultural Centre lobby within 48 hours (by April 21, 10:00). Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Screening & Judging: All submitted works will be publicly screened after 14:00 on the submission deadline day. A panel of judges will select outstanding works and present awards immediately.
Shooting Format
- Participants may use any video recording equipment (e.g., mini DV, HD, Betacam, digital camcorders, or mobile phones).
- Participants are responsible for their own shooting and post-production.
- Final works must be submitted in DVD playback format (three identical copies).
- Please test playback on a standard DVD player before submission to avoid disqualification.
Jury & Awards
- Jury: Comprised of multiple senior industry professionals invited by the organizer.
- Grand Prize: MOP 5,000 cash + MOP 500 CCM cash voucher.
- Merit Awards (up to four): MOP 2,000 cash + MOP 500 CCM cash voucher each.
- Winning works will be publicly screened in the "Made in Macao" segment.
Eligibility
- Open to all ages, genders, and nationalities (participants under 16 require parental signature).
- Each individual participant may submit only one work. Participants may also form teams, but each team is limited to one submission.
- Participants who successfully submit a work will receive one international film exchange ticket for the "Macao International Film and Video Festival 2013."
- Employees of the Macao Cultural Centre are not eligible to participate.
Registration
- Register in person at the Macao Cultural Centre reception desk or call 2870 0699.
- Download the registration form from the Cultural Centre website and email it to [email protected].
- Registration Deadline: April 18, 2013, 18:00.
Shooting Guidelines
- Submitted works must be a complete short film of approximately 3 minutes (no less than 3 minutes and no more than 4 minutes).
- Shooting locations are unrestricted. However, if filming in a public venue, prior approval from the venue's responsible person is required (e.g., notify the manager of a restaurant before filming there).
Organizer's Rights
- If a submitted film exceeds 4 minutes, the portion beyond 4 minutes will not be publicly screened.
- The organizer will not accept or publicly screen any film involving copyright infringement, illegal recording, or containing obscene or indecent language.
- The organizer assumes no responsibility for any damages or legal disputes with third parties arising from the参赛作品.
