Overview
To celebrate Macao's first time hosting the "17th International Comic Artist Conference" and its 20th anniversary, the Macao Comic Artists Association is organizing the 3rd Macao Illustration Competition. The theme for this edition is "Macao Comics."
Competition Details
- Theme: Macao Comics
- Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in a Macao day school and holding a Macao Resident Identity Card.
- Submission Period: From April 1, 2016, to May 31, 2016 (Tuesday) during office hours.
- Results Announcement: Winners will be announced in June 2016, with notification sent individually.
- Award Ceremony: Date to be announced separately.
Prizes
- Champion: Trophy + MOP 3,000 cash prize + Xiamen International Animation Festival Summer Camp.
- First Runner-up: Trophy + MOP 2,000 cash prize + Xiamen International Animation Festival Summer Camp.
- Second Runner-up: Trophy + MOP 1,000 cash prize + Xiamen International Animation Festival Summer Camp.
- Five Merit Awards: Certificate + MOP 500 cash prize + Xiamen International Animation Festival Summer Camp.
- Ten Finalist Awards: Certificate + MOP 150 cash prize + other prizes.
- Best Organization Award: Trophy (awarded to the school with the most participating students).
Note: All winning entries may be included in the 2016 publication "Macao Comics Series Book 5 – Oral History of Macao Comics" published by the Macao Comic Artists Association.
Submission Requirements
- Medium: Black & white or color, hand-drawn or digital artwork accepted.
- Format: Must be drawn on A4 or A3 paper.
- Text: If the work includes text, Chinese, Portuguese, or English may be used.
- Digital Art: Must be submitted as a PDF/JPG file with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, saved on a CD-ROM or DVD along with the physical entry.
- Anonymity: No identifiable information or signatures are allowed on the artwork.

- Fill out an A4 form with the following details:
- Participant's name
- School name
- Participant's ID number
- Parent's name
- Contact phone number
- Address
- Email address
- A 100–300 word description of the artwork
- Submit the completed form along with the artwork to one of the following locations:
