34th Dalian Cup Youth Fashion Design Competition
Theme: Local Exploration
The theme emphasizes respect for specific regional cultural roots—whether local customs, historical heritage, or folk crafts—all can become fertile ground for design inspiration. "Exploration" means sorting, decoding, and recreating cultural symbols, examining local culture from a global perspective, achieving a leap from "cultural extraction" to "design regeneration."
Organizing Structure

- Host Units: China Fashion Association, Dalian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology
Award Categories
The competition features two independent submission tracks: "Global Track" and "Dalian Track" (for those working, living, or studying in Dalian).
Global Track Awards:
- First Prize (1): ¥50,000 (pre-tax), trophy, certificate
- Second Prize (2): ¥20,000 (pre-tax), trophy, certificate
- Third Prize (3): ¥10,000 (pre-tax), trophy, certificate
- Excellence Awards: Certificates
Competition Requirements
- Target: Independent designers with original brands globally, fashion designers working in domestic/foreign clothing companies, and teachers/students from fashion design institutions.
- Age Limit: 45 years and below (born after January 1, 1980).
- Work Requirements: Men's/women's ready-to-wear collections (autumn/winter series).
