The 33rd Macau Arts Festival, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held in May 2023. The festival has long upheld the mission of 'promoting the development of local arts,' providing a platform for Macau's performing arts to showcase and exchange. The Cultural Affairs Bureau is now publicly inviting submissions for local programmes and welcomes participation from registered arts and cultural associations or individuals in Macau.
The festival is committed to expanding the platform for local performing arts and incorporating more creative and locally distinctive works. Non-profit arts and cultural groups registered with the Identification Services Bureau or individuals aged 18 or above holding a valid Macau Resident Identity Card are invited to submit programme proposals.

The popular community programme, 'Hundred Arts Pavilion' (百藝看館), will also continue to accept submissions for outdoor family-friendly programmes through this open call. The format is flexible, with priority given to works that are interactive and feature ethnic characteristics.
