The Lotus Cup Macau Youth Piano Competition is a local piano contest founded in 2014 by a group of passionate young Macau piano teachers dedicated to classical music. Its inaugural edition attracted over 200 participants, successfully establishing a major, community-organized piano competition unique to Macau.
Upholding the mission of the Macau Piano Association—to integrate art into daily life and bring music into the community—the second Lotus Cup will continue to feature both professional and popular categories. This structure allows more piano students to grow through the experience of performing on stage.
The competition serves as a platform for participants to showcase their learning achievements, strive for further improvement, connect with fellow piano enthusiasts in Macau, encourage each other on their musical journeys, and collectively explore the treasures of piano music.
