The 25th Macau Arts Festival, themed "Pulse," celebrates art as the vibrant force that energizes life, nourishes emotions, and elevates the spirit. This landmark Silver Jubilee edition features over 200 events across more than 30 programs and visual arts exhibitions, with many performances staged against the backdrop of Macau's UNESCO World Heritage "Historic Centre of Macau."
Opening Ceremony - Silver Jubilee Celebration: A free concert featuring local music elites performing works by Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.
Grand Finale - A Dream of Light: An original audiovisual mapping show projected onto the iconic Ruins of St. Paul's.
Local Performances: A diverse lineup including dance, theatre, family-friendly shows, environmental theatre, Cantonese opera (Intangible Cultural Heritage), and Macanese Portuguese theatre.
Dancing to the Sound of Naamyam: A dance production featuring Naamyam singing, a national-level Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The Dance Dome - 360° Cinema Experience: An immersive show blending dance, digital technology, and cinema.
Carminho in Macau - An Intimate Fado Night: A performance by Portugal's rising Fado star.
Step Out - Rain of Stone, Song of the Sea: An imaginative puppet theatre performance for children.
Macau Annual Visual Arts Exhibition 2014 (Western Media Category): Featuring works by local artists.
Collotype • Recurrence: An exhibition by Macau photographer Wong Ho Sang, exploring the collotype techniques used by 19th-century photographer John Thomson.
