23rd Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition
Organized by the Macao Foundation and Macao Daily News, the "23rd Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition" is now open for submissions, with a deadline of January 12, 2018. The event aims to promote a reading culture among Macao students and improve their Chinese language proficiency. All local secondary school students are welcome to participate.
Competition Details
- Theme: "Small City Stories" (小城故事). Through themed reading, students are encouraged to explore Macao's local characteristics and experience its unique local sentiment.
- Categories: Two groups: Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary.
- Word Limit: Junior Secondary group: no more than 1,500 characters per entry. Senior Secondary group: no more than 2,500 characters per entry.
- Submission Limit: Each participant is limited to one entry.
- School Submissions: Each school can recommend up to 20 entries per group. Students may also participate individually.

- Submission Address: Entries, along with the entry form and a copy of the student ID, should be mailed or delivered to:

- Macao Foundation Research Institute, 13/F, Times Commercial Building, No. 619 Avenida da Praia Grande, Macao.
- Envelope Note: Must be marked "Participation in the 23rd Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition."
Awards and Judging
- Awards: Each group will have Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and seven Merit Awards.
- Judges: Composed of renowned local writers, scholars, and representatives from the organizing bodies.
- Results Announcement: The winners' list will be announced in March 2018 on the Macao Foundation website and in Macao Daily News.
