This association is a non-profit social service organization spontaneously formed by a group of parents of individuals with intellectual disabilities. For many years, it has upheld the spirit of self-help and mutual aid to raise social awareness about people with intellectual disabilities and to strive for more learning opportunities and reasonable rights for their parents and children. Established in October 1991, the association now has over 1,400 member families. Its affiliated centers—'Shuguang Centre', 'Xiaoguang Centre', 'Kangle Comprehensive Service Centre', 'Hongguang Xuan', and 'Xingguang She'—provide various types of rehabilitation services for individuals with intellectual disabilities of different age groups, offering appropriate training based on actual circumstances to enhance their independent living skills and facilitate social integration.
