Overview
The 22nd Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition, co-organized by the Macao Foundation and Macao Daily News, is now open for submissions until January 13, 2017. The competition aims to promote a reading culture among Macao students and enhance their Chinese language proficiency. All local secondary school students are welcome to participate.
Competition Details
- Theme: "City Memory" (城市記憶). This theme encourages students to reflect on urban changes and appreciate Macao's unique culture and historical trajectory through focused reading.
- Categories: Two groups: Junior Secondary (初中組) and Senior Secondary (高中組).
- Word Limits: Junior Secondary entries must not exceed 1,500 words. Senior Secondary entries must not exceed 2,500 words.
- Submission Limit: Each participant may submit only one entry.
- Submission Methods: Schools may recommend up to 20 entries per group. Students may also participate individually. Entries, along with the completed application form and a copy of the student ID, should be mailed or delivered to:

- Macao Foundation Research Institute, 13th Floor, Times Commercial Building, No. 619 Avenida da Praia Grande, Macao.
- Mailing Note: The envelope must be marked "22nd Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition."
Prizes & Judging
- Prizes: Each group will award Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and seven Merit prizes.
- Judges: The panel consists of renowned local writers, scholars, and representatives from the organizing bodies.
- Results Announcement: The winners' list will be announced in March 2017 on the Macao Foundation website and in Macao Daily News.
