Program Overview

The 2023 "Spoiler Action" Film Script Development Program is now open for applications! This initiative aims to nurture local film talent by providing professional guidance to refine and develop movie scripts.

Key Details

• Application Period: From now until July 19, 2023
• Eligibility: Applicants must hold a Macau Permanent Resident Identity Card and be aged 18 or above. They must also be the original creator of the submitted project.
• Program Structure: Selected participants will undergo a 4-month, 40-hour course guided by professional directors and screenwriters.
• Final Deliverable: Each selected project must submit a final script upon course completion.

Selection & Awards

• Selection Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based on:
  1. Theme and creativity of the story
  2. Depth and narrative quality of the story
  3. Experience of the project team
• Macau Phase: Up to 4 film projects will be selected for the course.
• Greater Bay Area Phase: The Cultural Affairs Bureau will select 2 projects from Macau to enter the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau joint review.
  • Each Macau project entering the joint review will receive MOP 10,000 as encouragement.
• Final Awards: From a total of 6 projects across the three regions, 2 winning projects will be selected.
  • Each winning project will receive a prize of MOP 80,000.
• Outstanding Script Award: Participants can compete for the "Outstanding Script Award" after completing the course, with a top prize of up to MOP 90,000.

• Norris Wong: Winner of the "Best New Director" award at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards for "My Prince Edward".
