Call for Submissions
Artists and illustrators in Macau are invited to submit their work for consideration in the 2020 Asia Illustration Yearbook!
Event Overview
The Asia Illustration Annual Awards is a multinational illustration platform founded in 2015 by the Asia Illustration Association, originating from the Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei. After five successful years, it has become a significant IP platform, promoting the illustration industry and connecting creative brands across Asia to enhance the international competitiveness of illustrators.
Application Details
- Applicants: Individuals, companies, or groups based in Macau.
- Submission Content: Five (5) pieces of artwork (new or old works are acceptable).
- Submission Period: From now until May 31, 2019, 23:59.
- Application Fee: MOP 500. Members of the Macau Illustrator Association are eligible for a MOP 100 discount.
- Announcement of Results: July 1, 2019.
Selection Process
A selection committee composed of professional illustration organizations from various countries (including Asia Illustration Association executives, Japan Illustration Association, Malaysia's Creative Nest, Macau Illustrator Association, Hong Kong Illustrator Association, etc.) will jointly review submissions and select 250 finalists.

- Quantity: 5 pieces
- File Name: Work title (10 characters or less)
- Format: JPEG (.JPG)
- Color Mode: CMYK
- Dimensions: (Horizontal) 72.5 x 60.5 cm or (Vertical) 60.5 x 72.5 cm
- Resolution: 72 dpi (Please retain a 300 dpi master file for future editing if selected)
- Do not include signatures or any text on the artwork.
- Personal Photo Specifications
- A real, color or black-and-white photo of yourself (face may be obscured; no illustrated avatars).
- Format: JPEG (.JPG)
- Color Mode: CMYK
- Size: 5 x 5 cm
- Resolution: 300 dpi
- Handwritten Signature File
- A scanned copy of your handwritten signature (black on white background, transparent background preferred).
- Format: JPEG (.JPG)
- Color Mode: CMYK
- Size: Approximately 9 x 5.4 cm
- Resolution: 300 dpi
- Signed Agreement
- Download the provided PDF agreement (Terms and Conditions & Privacy Policy).
- Print, sign, date, and scan it at 300 dpi as a JPG file.
Submission & Payment Process
- Complete the online application form with all required data and upload the prepared files.
- Pay the application fee via ATM / Bank Transfer to the Macau Illustrator Association.

- Email a photo of your payment receipt to [email protected].
- Email subject/body must include: "《2020亞洲插畫年鑑》報名費收據", your name, and contact number.
- Your registration is complete upon receiving a confirmation email or call from the association.
Important Notes
- Yearbook Delivery: The 2020 Asia Illustration Yearbook will be shipped by the organizer before March 30, 2020. The Macau Illustrator Association will receive the books and coordinate individual distribution with successful applicants.
