International Junior Chamber's "Active Citizen Day" is held every December. Junior Chambers worldwide organize various activities aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to bring positive impacts to the community, promote the concept of active citizenship, and empower young people globally to create a better world.
The "2020 Active Citizen Day" will be held on December 5, 2020, at the Macao Deaf Association Service Centre. In collaboration with the Macao Deaf Association, this event allows local youth to engage in a series of activities with the association's members. The goal is to enhance participants' understanding and practice of social inclusion, foster interactive connections in a harmonious and enjoyable atmosphere, and help Macao's youth recognize the core value of "people-oriented" development. The event also fulfills the social responsibility outlined in the UN "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" and the tenth Sustainable Development Goal, "Reduced Inequalities."
