Event Overview
The 2017 Macao Temple Trail offered five distinct walking routes to explore the city's rich cultural and religious heritage. This initiative aimed to provide both visitors and residents with a deeper understanding of Macao's history and community life.
Walking Routes
Five themed walking routes were available:
- Macao San Kio Route (澳門新橋線)
- Macao Central District Route (澳門中區線)
- Taipa Old Town Route (氹仔舊城區線)
- Coloane Town Centre Route (路環市區線)
- Ká-Hó Route (九澳線)
Key Features
- Explore on Foot: Experience Macao's diverse neighborhoods and community atmosphere.
- Free Guidebook: A special Temple Trail booklet was available for free collection at the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and participating temples.
- Collector's Activity: The booklet contained introductions and maps for numerous Chinese temples in Macao.
- Stamp Collection: Visitors could collect a unique stamp at each participating temple they visited.
- Special Souvenir: Collecting stamps from three different temples allowed visitors to redeem a commemorative gift at the designated redemption center.

The program aimed to:
- Deepen knowledge of Macao's cultural heritage.
- Allow appreciation of local community landscapes.
- Help distribute tourist traffic across different areas.
- Highlight the unique characteristics of each temple.
