The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) organizes various Lunar New Year celebrations annually, with the New Year Flower Float Parade being one of Macao's signature festive events. The Macao Special Administrative Region Government Tourism Office and the Macao Heritage and Creative Association have jointly organized the 2017 Macao 'New Year Flower Float Instant Photo' Photography Contest. This contest invites Macao residents and tourists to capture unique photos themed around the 2017 Lunar New Year Flower Float Parade, showcasing the vibrant festive atmosphere from different perspectives. Participants can share the excitement of the Spring Festival worldwide via the Instagram platform, helping visitors and residents gain a deeper understanding of traditional Lunar New Year celebrations and showcasing a different side of Macao.

Contest Rules
- Photo content must be themed around the 2017 Lunar New Year Flower Float Parade organized by MGTO during the New Year period. For event details, see the schedule below.
- Entries must be original works, not previously submitted to any other competitions or publicly published in any form.
- No author identification marks are allowed on the image content.
- Photo types are unrestricted but must comply with legal requirements and social norms.
- Contestants' Instagram account privacy settings must be set to 'Public'.
- There is no limit to the number of photo uploads per participant, but each participant can win at most one award, based on their highest-scoring entry.
- Participants must agree to and abide by the contest rules. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant, revoke awards, and seek compensation for any actions that damage the contest process, interfere with operations, violate rules, infringe copyrights, or involve any illegal activities. All legal responsibilities shall be borne by the participant.
