Overview
The 'Summer Colors of Macau' Hand-Painting Competition aims to promote the diverse beauty of Macau through different methods. It encourages citizens to depict their impressions of Macau's beauty through painting, fostering a deeper appreciation and discovery of Macau's multifaceted character, enhancing public appreciation for Macau's beauty, and promoting its unique tourism features.
Theme & Requirements
- Theme: Works must feature "Macau Tourist Attractions" as the main subject, with "Summer" as the central theme. Other elements are unrestricted.
Participation Categories
- Youth Category: Macau residents aged 10–17 years old.
- Open Category: Macau residents aged 18 years or above.
Event Schedule
- Submission Period: August 15 – September 30, 2016
- Results Announcement: October 15, 2016
- Awards Ceremony & Exhibition Opening: October 22, 2016
- Exhibition Dates: October 22 – October 31, 2016
Prizes
Youth Category:
- Champion: MOP 1,500 (1 winner)
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 1,000 (1 winner)
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 500 (1 winner)
- Merit Award: MOP 200 (5 winners)
Open Category:
- Champion: MOP 2,000 (1 winner)
- 1st Runner-up: MOP 1,500 (1 winner)
- 2nd Runner-up: MOP 1,000 (1 winner)
- Merit Award: MOP 500 (5 winners)
Additional Notes:
- Champions, Runners-up, and Merit Award winners will receive prize money, certificates, and souvenirs.
- Participation Awards: 25 awards each for the Youth and Open categories. The first 25 individuals in each category who successfully submit an entry will receive a "souvenir and a MOP 100 supermarket voucher."
How to Enter
- Complete the individual/group application form. Carefully attach the completed artwork label to the back of the corresponding piece and place it in an envelope/document pouch. Submit to "Stage – G/F, Kin Fai Building, No. 124 Rua de Pedro Coutinho, Macau." Mark the envelope with "2016 Macau Tourism Awareness Program x 'Summer Colors of Macau' Hand-Painting Competition."
- Participants can apply in the name of a school/organization (must have more than 5 participants, each submitting 1 original work). All members must choose the same category for participation.
