About the Symposium
In line with the founding principles of the organizing association—to promote patriotism and love for Macau, unite Macau's employees, develop and strengthen trade union organizations, strive for and safeguard the legal rights and interests of employees, and protect their social and cultural rights—this event serves all workers. To support the future protection of workers' rights, the symposium will focus on the theme of "Rest and Leave Rights," demonstrating the association's commitment to "respecting labor, safeguarding rights, and promoting development." It aims to foster in-depth discussion and research to achieve a win-win situation for labor and management, present the most authentic findings to society, and contribute to the community. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Essay Competition Details
- Competition Categories: Open Category and Student Category.
- Awards per Category: First Prize (1 winner), Second Prize (1 winner), Third Prize (1 winner), and Merit Award (1 winner).
- Award Ceremony: Winners must attend the symposium to receive their awards.
Prize Money
- Open Category: First Prize MOP 8,000, Second Prize MOP 5,000, Third Prize MOP 3,000.
- Student Category: First Prize MOP 5,000, Second Prize MOP 3,000, Third Prize MOP 1,000.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Open Category: Primarily for university students or above / working professionals. Essay length approximately 6,000 words or more.
- Student Category: Primarily for secondary school students. Essay length approximately 3,000 words or more.
- Submission File Naming Format: Category + Name + Topic (e.g., Student Category + Chan Tai Man + Macau Rest Rights).
