The 10th Macau Badminton Grand Prix Gold 2015 will be held grandly at Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion from November 24 to 29. This tournament is the third-tier event of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) organized for the tenth consecutive year by the Macau Badminton Association and was included in the BWF Grand Prix Gold Series last year. The total prize money is approximately MOP 1 million (USD 120,000).
This level of competition has been held in Macau since 2006, attracting top players from around the world each year. Approximately 300 athletes from about 20 countries/regions come to Macau to compete in five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. World-class players who have previously competed in Macau include Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei, China's Lin Dan, Yu Yang, Zhang Nan, Zhao Yunlei, Li Xuerui, Korea's Lee Yong-dae, Ko Sung-hyun, and more. As this is an Olympic qualification year, players from various countries are continuously participating in tournaments to earn more points and secure higher world rankings. The 10th Macau Badminton Grand Prix Gold 2015 anticipates welcoming more world-class players to compete for championship titles in each event.
