Overview

To further enhance public awareness of waste reduction at source and environmental protection, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) collaborated with non-profit organizations to set up resource waste sorting and recycling booths. Citizens can bring useful recyclable waste (waste paper, plastic, metal, and glass bottles) to the IACM booths on-site for recycling and exchange them for souvenirs. The initiative aims to promote resource recycling and reuse while helping those in need.

• Functional household appliances/office equipment
• CDs/DVDs and toner cartridges

After years of promotion, each recycling event has seen significant public participation with satisfactory results. The IACM ultimately hopes that every citizen will support waste reduction at source and actively dispose of useful recyclable waste into the designated sorting bins installed in buildings and on streets.
