Overview

The 2014 Macao Youth Fashion Technology Competition, organized by the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), aimed to cultivate and enhance local youth's interest in fashion design and production. The event sought to nurture new talent for Macao's fashion industry by encouraging participants to pursue further studies in related fields.

Competition Details

• Theme: "World of Melody" (樂韻世界)
• Format: The competition consisted of two parts: sewing and creative design.
• Task: Participants were required to cut and sew a specified style of dress using industrial sewing machines within a designated time frame of 20 hours, and then creatively design the dress according to the theme.
• Pre-competition Training: A 39-hour preparatory training course was offered over approximately one month to teach sewing techniques, inspire creativity, and help participants transform ideas into creative garment applications.
