Competition Concept
Through the production of microfilms, this competition guides young people to reflect on the harm of drug abuse to individuals and society, resist negative temptations, and promote anti-drug and healthy lifestyle messages via the medium of film.

- Registration Deadline for Training Classes: November 30, 2014 (21:30)
- Anti-Drug Knowledge Training Class (Macau): December 13, 2014 (14:30–17:30)
- Microfilm Production Training Classes (Hong Kong): January 4, 2015 & January 18, 2015 (10:00–17:00 each day)
- Submission & Registration Deadline: April 30, 2015 (23:59)
- Awards Ceremony (Macau Forum): June 26, 2015 (19:00)
Eligibility & Rules
- Categories: Youth Group (12-20 years old) & Open Group (21-29 years old). Age is determined by the director's age.
- All entries must be themed "Free啲 Drug Free".
- Participants may enter as a team or individually. Only one submission per team/individual.
- All works must be original and unpublished. Participants bear full responsibility for any intellectual property disputes.
- The copyright and usage rights of winning entries belong to the organizer.
- Entries that do not comply with the theme or contain inappropriate content may be disqualified.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
Training Classes
Anti-Drug Knowledge Training Class
- Date: December 13, 2014 (Saturday)
- Time: 14:30–17:30
- Venue: YMCA of Macau Youth Community Centre (4th Floor, Sun Shing Court, Mei Kui Square Phase 2, 281 Rua de Volong)
- Instructors: Experienced social workers and nurses in the field of drug prevention.
- Content: Drug education covering types of drugs, paraphernalia, methods of use, and physical/mental effects of abuse.
- Fee: Free (limited spots, first-come-first-served).
Microfilm Production Training Class
- Dates: January 4, 2015 OR January 18, 2015 (Sunday)
- Time: 10:00–17:00
- Venue: The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club M21 Media Space (Hong Kong).
- Instructors: Professional instructors from M21 Media Space.
- Content: Basics of using filming equipment, conceptualizing, shooting, and editing microfilms.
- Fee: MOP 300 (includes round-trip Macau-Hong Kong ferry ticket, insurance, and lunch. The fee will be fully refunded upon completion of the training).
- Prerequisite: Completion of the Anti-Drug Knowledge Training Class. Maximum 2 members per team.
Judging Criteria
- Relevance of content to the theme.
- Novelty and creativity of the concept.
- Clarity in expressing anti-drug elements through filming.
Submission Format
- Video length: Minimum 1.5 minutes, maximum 3 minutes.
- Acceptable formats: MPEG4, WMV, MPEGPS, FLV, 3GPP, WEBM, MOV, AVI.
- Submit via the official website www.drug-free.org.mo. Video quality must be at least YouTube 360p standard.
Prizes (Awarded in both Youth and Open Groups)
- Best Film: MOP 7,000
- Best Anti-Drug Message Award: MOP 4,000
- Most Creative Award: MOP 4,000
- Best Director Award: MOP 4,000
- Outstanding Actor/Actress Award (5 winners): MOP 1,000 each
- Most Popular Video Award: MOP 1,000
