Event Overview
The Macao Orchestra presents the grand finale of its 2013-2014 season with the "Russian Night" concert. This special closing performance features a program dedicated to Russian classical masterpieces, showcasing the orchestra's virtuosity under the baton of its Music Director and Principal Conductor, Lü Jia.
Featured Artists & Program
While the season's opening concert featured the acclaimed pianist Cyprien Katsaris, this closing event highlights the orchestra's collaboration with other renowned international and Chinese artists throughout the season, including:
- Young Swedish conductor Daniel Blendulf
- Leading Chinese pianist Song Siheng
- Legendary Chinese violinist Lü Siqing
- Tchaikovsky Competition gold medalist Barry Douglas
The program for the season included works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. A notable highlight was the Macao premiere of Stravinsky's famous chamber opera "The Soldier's Tale" (L'Histoire du soldat). The season also featured opera overtures, ballet suites, and an innovative chamber music series at the Dom Pedro V Theatre.

- Members of "Friends of Macao Orchestra" with a valid membership card.
20% Discount (80% of original price):
- Holders of a Macao Teacher's Card (any number of tickets).
- Holders of specific bank credit cards: Bank of China (including Multi-Currency Card), Macau Hung Heng Bank, Tai Fung Bank, Banco Nacional Ultramarino (any number of tickets).
Audience Guidelines
- Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the performance. Latecomers may be admitted during a suitable break.
- Mobile phones and pagers must be switched to silent mode. Please refrain from moving around during the performance.
- Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited inside the auditorium. Dangerous items, beverages, food, and plastic bags are not allowed.
- Unauthorized audio/video recording and photography are strictly forbidden.
- Admission is by ticket only. One ticket per person.
- Children under six are not admitted, except for designated "Children's Day Concerts" and music promotion series.
- "Children's Day Concerts" welcome children aged three and above.
- The organizer reserves the right to change the program and performers.
