19th Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition
The 19th Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition, jointly organized by the Macao Foundation and Macao Daily News, is now open for submissions until January 28, 2014.
Competition Details
- Theme: "Let Love Move" (讓愛動起來)
- Objective: Through thematic reading, encourage students to translate compassion into action, promote loving words and deeds, and let love illuminate the world and nourish the soul.
- Divisions: Junior Secondary (初中組) and Senior Secondary (高中組).
- Word Limits: Junior Secondary entries must not exceed 1,500 words. Senior Secondary entries must not exceed 2,500 words.
- Submission Limits: Each participant may submit only one entry. Schools may recommend up to 20 entries per division. Students may also participate individually.
Submission Guidelines
- Entries must be submitted together with the official entry form.
- Submission Addresses:
- Macao Foundation Research Institute, 13/F, Edif. Comercial Cheng Feng, 619 Avenida da Praia Grande, Macao.
- Macao Daily News, 218 Avenida de Venceslau de Morais, Macao.
- The envelope must be clearly marked "Participating in the 19th Macao Secondary School Reading Reflection Writing Competition."
Prizes & Judging
- Prizes per Division: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and 7 Merit Awards.
- Judges: Panel consists of local Macao writers, scholars, and representatives from the organizing bodies.
- Results Announcement: The winners' list will be announced in March 2014 on the Macao Foundation website (www.fmac.org.mo) and in Macao Daily News.
