Overview
The 17th Macau Student Office Software Skills Competition is now open for registration! Winners will have the opportunity to be fully sponsored to participate in the "Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" in the United States in late July 2025.
Eligibility
- Must hold a Macau Resident Identity Card.
- Must be a Macau secondary school student aged 15 to 22 (as of December 31, 2025).
- Must be recommended by a Macau secondary school.
Competition Categories
Microsoft Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps versions (Chinese or English options available) in:
Registration Process
- The responsible teacher must complete the school registration form and email it to [email protected], including the teacher's contact details.
- After receiving the registration, the center will contact the responsible teacher to confirm the list of participants.
Key Dates
- Registration Deadline: March 19, 2025
- Selection Round: March 30, 2025
- Final Round: May 4, 2025
Competition Format
- Selection Round: Closed-book written test on Microsoft Office software knowledge. The top 30 scorers in each category will advance to the intensive training and final round.
- Final Round: Participants will be assessed using the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) professional certification exam software (Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps versions) and document operations to select the winners.
Venues
- Selection Round: Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional (Macau Sino-Portuguese Technical Vocational School)
- Final Round: Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center - Head Office
Prizes & Incentives
For all participants who pass the selection round:
- Free participation in an online intensive training course.
- Free attempt at the "MOS" Office 2019 and Microsoft 365 Apps professional certification exam during the final (worth MOP 1,360). Passing candidates will receive an official MOS certificate issued by Certiport.
Category Winners:
- Champion (2 per category): Commemorative certificate and MOP 4,000 cash prize. Opportunity for full sponsorship to the "Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" in Orlando, Florida, USA, from July 27–30, 2025.
- 1st Runner-up: Commemorative certificate and MOP 2,500 cash prize.
- 2nd Runner-up: Commemorative certificate and MOP 1,500 cash prize.
- School Group Award: Outstanding schools will receive a group award certificate, book vouchers, and MOS exam vouchers.
Important Notes
- Each participant can only register for one competition category.
- Students who have previously participated in the "Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" may compete again but cannot enter the same category.
- The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center reserves the right to change competition arrangements or cancel the event without prior notice.
