The 16th Macau City Fringe Festival, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held in January next year. An open call for program proposals is now underway, inviting Macau-based artists or groups registered with the Macau Identification Services Bureau to submit their ideas. The deadline for submissions is August 26, 2016.

About the Festival

Under the slogan "The whole city is a stage, every corner has an audience, everyone is an artist," the Macau City Fringe Festival is actively seeking diverse program proposals. There are no restrictions on the format—proposals can be for local original works, international imports, or cross-border collaborations. The most important thing is for artists to translate bold ideas into concrete program suggestions! Furthermore, this year's festival will introduce new exchange segments like "Program Recommendations" to help international artists better understand the current state of Macau's arts scene and strengthen the potential for collaboration between Macau and overseas partners.
