Overview
The 16th Macao Student Office Software Skills Competition is a prestigious event for secondary school students to showcase their proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The competition aims to enhance students' practical software skills and offers a pathway to international recognition.
Eligibility
- Must hold a Macao Resident Identity Card
- Macao secondary school students aged 15 to 22 (as of December 31, 2024)
- Must be recommended by a Macao secondary school to participate
Competition Categories
Participants can choose one of the following Microsoft Office applications (Chinese or English version):
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
Competition Format
Preliminary Round (Selection)
- Closed-book written test on Microsoft Office software knowledge.
- The top 30 highest-scoring participants in each category will advance to the intensive training course and the final round.
Final Round
- Assessment conducted using the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) professional certification exam software (Office 2019 and 365 Apps versions) and document operations.
- Winners in each category will be selected based on the highest scores.

Venues
- Preliminary Round: Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional (Chinese-Portuguese Technical School)
- Final Round: CPTTM Head Office, Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center
Registration Process
- The responsible teacher must complete the school entry form and email it to [email protected], including the teacher's contact details.
- After receiving the registration materials, the center will contact the responsible teacher to confirm the list of participants.
Prizes & Incentives
Participant Reward
All participants who advance to the second stage (final round) will receive:
- Free entry to the MOS Office 2019 and 365 Apps professional certification exams (valued at MOP 1,360).
- Eligible participants who pass will receive an official MOS certificate issued by Certiport.
Champion (2 winners per category)
- Commemorative certificate and a cash prize of MOP 4,000.
- Opportunity for full sponsorship to attend the "Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" in California, USA, from July 28–31, 2024.
First Runner-up
- Commemorative certificate and a cash prize of MOP 2,500.
Second Runner-up
- Commemorative certificate and a cash prize of MOP 1,500.
School Group Award
The three schools with the highest number of students placing in the top 10 across all competition categories will receive:
- Commemorative certificate.
- Book vouchers worth MOP 600.
- 5 MOS exam vouchers (valued at MOP 3,400).
Important Notes
- Each participant can only register for one competition category.
- Students who have previously participated in the "Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship" may compete again but cannot enter the same category.
- The Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center reserves the right to change competition arrangements or cancel the event without prior notice.
