The 15th Dalang Cup China Women's Wear Design Competition is now open for submissions. This prestigious competition invites global fashion design enthusiasts, including established designers, independent designers, corporate designers, and students/faculty from design-related programs, to showcase their talent.

Theme: Harmony & Resonance # Oriental The theme "Harmony & Resonance # Oriental" explores Eastern philosophical wisdom, seeking harmony, symbiosis, and balance. It encourages a dialogue where Eastern wisdom actively "speaks," aiming to find resonance and create deep, heartfelt connections globally. Designers are challenged to create not just aesthetically pleasing garments but also bridges that carry this resonance, encouraging innovative experimentation, bold practice, technology-driven fashion, and sustainable design.

Competition Tracks:

• Global Track: Open to all eligible participants worldwide.
• Shenzhen Track: For participants who work, live, or study in Shenzhen (proof required).

Submission Requirements:

• Submit a series of 4 women's wear designs (2 creative designs + 2 commercial designs derived from the creative ones).
• Provide color renderings, technical/construction drawings, and main fabric swatches.
• Include a design statement explaining inspiration, design concept, and fashion elements.
• All works must be original and unpublished.

Key Dates:

• Submission Deadline: March 30, 2026 (17:00)
• Preliminary Judging: April 6, 2026
• Online Voting & Publicity Period: April 7-19, 2026
• Garment Production Period: April 20 - July 24, 2026
• Finals: Late July 2026 (exact date TBA)
• Award-Winning Works Showcase at China International Fashion Week: Early September 2026

Prizes:

• Global Track: Golden Wave Award (1 winner, RMB 300,000), Tide Wave Award (1 winner, RMB 200,000), Spray Wave Award (1 winner, RMB 100,000), Top Ten Designers (10 winners, RMB 10,000 each), Finalist Award (7 winners, RMB 5,000 each).
• Shenzhen Track: "Pengcheng Star" Award (1 winner, RMB 30,000), Finalist Award (2 winners, RMB 5,000 each). *Prize amounts include 20% personal income tax withheld by the organizing committee.

How to Apply:

1. Register online at the designated platform.
2. Submit physical design materials (design drafts, signed Original Commitment & Ownership Confirmation Form, copy of travel permit to Mainland China, one 1-inch color photo) to the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center - Fashion Gallery by the deadline.
