Event Overview
The 13th Macau A-Ma Cultural & Tourism Festival is a vibrant celebration of Macau's intangible cultural heritage, featuring a grand ceremony, a lively parade, and an evening performance. The A-Ma Customs and Beliefs of Macau were inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2009.
Schedule & Activities
- Opening Ceremony & A-Ma Ritual: 10:00–12:00 at A-Ma Temple, A-Ma Cultural Village (on Mt. Coloane, near the world's tallest A-Ma statue).
- A-Ma Procession Parade: 15:00–17:00, parading from Rua do Comandante João Belo (Fai Chi Kei) to Iao Hon Market Park.
- Evening Cultural Performance: 20:00–22:00 at Iao Hon Market Park, featuring a special performance by the Shaanxi Provincial Art Troupe.
- Closing Ceremony: The event concludes with the return of the A-Ma statue from Iao Hon Market Park to the A-Ma Cultural Village.
