Overview
The 13th Macao Higher Education Institutions Student Debate Competition aims to cultivate students' logical thinking, language expression, and adaptability, while strengthening academic exchanges between institutions.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in higher education programs at Macao's tertiary institutions.

Cantonese & Mandarin Debate Groups
Organizer: Macao Speech and Debate Culture Association
Registration & Participation:
- Each institution may send one team per language group.
- Registration Deadline: September 25, 2015
- Registration Venue: Academic Affairs or Student Affairs departments of respective institutions.

- Preliminary: October 10, 2015
- Semi-finals: November 7, 2015
- Finals & Awards Ceremony: November 8, 2015
- Mandarin Group:
- Preliminary: October 11, 2015
- Semi-finals: November 7, 2015
- Finals & Awards Ceremony: November 8, 2015
Venue: Macao Science Center Conference Centre
Prizes:
- Champion: Trophy + MOP 10,000, each team member receives a medal.
- Runner-up: Trophy + MOP 7,000, each team member receives a medal.
- Third Place: Trophy + MOP 5,000, each team member receives a medal.
- Best Debater: Awarded per match in preliminaries/semi-finals (trophy). Best debater in finals receives trophy + MOP 500.
Notes:
- If only 4 teams participate, only Champion and Runner-up prizes are awarded. If fewer than 4, only Champion prize is awarded.
- The Mandarin group champion team will be arranged to participate in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Mandarin Debate Competition," supported by this office and jointly organized by TDM, Guangdong Radio and Television News Radio, and RTHK Putonghua Channel.
Judges: Prominent figures from society.
English Debate Group
Organizer: Macao English Debate Association
Registration & Participation:
- Each institution may send up to four teams.
- Registration Deadline: September 25, 2015
- Registration Venue: Academic Affairs or Student Affairs departments of respective institutions.
Competition Schedule:
- Preliminary: October 24–25, 2015
- Finals: October 25, 2015
Venue: University of Macau Student Activity Centre
Prizes:
- Champion (1): Trophy + MOP 10,000, each team member receives a medal.
- Runner-up (3): Trophy, each team member receives a medal.
- Best Debater: Five in preliminaries (trophy + MOP 500 each). One in finals (trophy + MOP 500).
Judges: Senior English debate experts from various regions.
