Theme

Story or game theme: "Macau Grand Prix – 65 Glorious Years".

Purpose

The main purpose of this competition is to promote the application of information technology among the public in Macau, cultivate talent in this field, and thereby foster the development of IT in Macao.

Eligibility

Secondary School Group: All secondary school students studying in Macau. Each team must consist of 2 to 3 members. A team may have one secondary school teacher as an advisor. The advisor and students must be from the same school, and each advisor cannot guide more than two teams. The advisor should only provide guidance on technical aspects; the main creative work should be the students' own.

Open Group: Macau residents aged 18 or above, or foreign students from Macau's tertiary institutions. Each team must consist of 2 to 3 members.

Competition Format

• Secondary School Group: Teams must use ALICE 2.x (2.4 or above) to write a story or game program.
• Open Group: Teams must use ALICE 3.x (3.3 or above) to write a story or game program.

Program Duration

• Secondary School Group: Program runtime should not be less than 1 minute and cannot exceed 3 minutes.
• Open Group: Program runtime should not be less than 2 minutes and cannot exceed 5 minutes.
• Points will be deducted if the runtime exceeds the specified limits.

Presentation & Q&A

After submitting their program, each team must participate in a 10-minute program presentation (to introduce the program) and a Q&A session with judges on a date to be determined. Teams must use the ALICE programming environment to demonstrate their work.

• All team members must participate in the presentation. Judges may ask any team member questions during the Q&A.
• If any team member is late or absent from the presentation, the team's total score will be deducted by 5%.
• If all team members are late or absent, the presentation score will be 0.
