Objective

To enhance students' humanistic literacy, writing skills, and critical thinking, and to promote a culture of reading and creative writing on campus.

Organizers

Critical Essay: A humanistic interpretation of literary works.
Poetry: Ode to Macao, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Macao SAR's establishment.

Critical Essay: Choose one work from the provided list (including works by Lao She, Ba Jin, Mo Yan, etc.) for a humanistic interpretation of its ideas and artistry.
Poetry: Celebrate Macao, focusing on the social development since its return 15 years ago.

Students pursuing a bachelor's or higher diploma program at a Macao higher education institution.
Macao residents studying for a bachelor's or higher diploma program outside Macao.

Individual participation only.
Participants may enter both categories but are limited to one submission per category.
Critical Essay: 3,000 to 5,000 words (including punctuation).
Poetry: 10 to 50 lines.
Submissions must be typed (A4 paper, 14-point MingLiU font, single spacing).
Proper citation using the Citation Order System is required.
Plagiarism or simultaneous submission to other contests is prohibited.
Submissions will not be returned.
The organizer and winners will share the copyright, allowing publication in a collection.

(Note: Judges reserve the right not to award any prize if submissions do not meet the required standard.)
