Are you deeply interested in Macau's history, neighborhoods, culture, and art? Do you wish to improve your communication and interpersonal skills to tell stories in an engaging and interesting way? If your answer is yes, then you are the ideal candidate for our Youth Art and Cultural Guide Training Program!
The historic St. Lazarus Parish (Mong Tak Tong) district, with its historical buildings and street patterns, records the lives of past citizens and religious development, possessing rich cultural characteristics. After the handover, with the efforts of the government and organizations, artistic elements have been injected into the district, attracting young artists from various fields to set up exhibitions or hold activities, transforming it into a cultural and artistic activity zone revitalized from historical buildings.
This training program uses the Fantong Creative Garden within the St. Lazarus Parish district as a starting point, providing young people with training in art, history, and more. The course includes community history and culture, art and life, cultural community activities, and guiding techniques, conducted through lectures, field studies, and internships. The course combines theory and practice, allowing participants to experience art, understand neighborhood culture, and experience guiding work, thereby training young people to become cultural guides with the ability to introduce and promote history, culture, and art.
