Overview

Visually impaired individuals, living in a world without light, can still share in beautiful scenes. 'Audio Description' uses concise, vivid language to describe visual information, conveying it to visually impaired individuals to help them understand the content. This workshop provides a hands-on experience to learn and practice this skill.

Workshop Details

• Organizer: Areia Preta Youth Volunteer Association of Macao
• Co-organizer: Macao Federation of Neighbourhood Centres - Areia Preta Community Service Centre
• Objective: To learn about 'Audio Description' and practice related techniques. The goal is to incorporate audio description into activity facilitation, allowing visually impaired individuals to also appreciate the experience. Participants will experience how to conduct relevant training through sound in 'darkness'.
• Target Participants: Macao youth aged 16 to 45
• Quota: 15 participants

  • Morning Session: 10:00–13:00
  • Afternoon Session: 14:00–17:00

  • Understanding audio description and practicing related skills.
  • Incorporating audio description into activity facilitation to allow 'visually impaired individuals' to also appreciate.
